EXCITING OPPORTUNITY TO LAUNCH A BRAND-NEW AMBULATORY SURGERY CENTER

ABOUT US

The Inova Oakville Ambulatory Surgery Center is in the final stages of construction, located in the Potomac Yards area of Alexandria.

This will be a state-of-the-art facility in a brand-new Inova medical campus slated to open in mid-2024.

We are seeking an experienced Materials Assistant to join our team.

HOURS:
Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Unpack and distribute supplies and equipment
Verify daily delivery of items with packing slips and purchase orders, and note backorders. Notify appropriate individuals of discrepancies
Research and resolve problems with damaged, missing, or incorrect merchandise
Computer input of used items from physician preference cards for prior days' procedures
Assist with maintaining par levels and restocking when needed
Prepare supply reorder lists
Create purchase orders for reordering of supplies and send to appropriate vendor for processing
Perform monthly physical inventory counts
Other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

At least one (1) year previous work experience in ambulatory surgery center or hospital setting
Strongly prefer operating room experience
RN, CST knowledge preferable
Strong computer skills, ability to learn new inventory system software
Proficient in MS Word and Excel
Reads, writes, speaks and comprehends the English language
Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills
Must be able to organize and prioritize work.
Ability to perform the physical demands of the position
