PURPOSE:

This position provides a hands-on approach to managing the general day to day operations of the Front Desk.

The manager motivates and educates staff as well as make sure the highest level of customer services is provided from all of our staff.

The Front Office Manager practices a guest first philosophy when resolving service issues. Handles pressure situations with ease and works with guests to make sure their expectations are met and exceeded. Maximizes room revenue and occupancy & analyzes selling status of house count daily. Manages complete Front Office operations in a smooth and efficient manner.


PRIMARY JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Guest registration process
  • Room inventory and availability
  • Supervise Front Desk Agents and Night Auditors and delegate tasks
  • Conduct monthly Front Desk meetings
  • Review daily front desk checklists and night audit reports
  • Responsible to motivate, recognize, counsel and maintain/onboard additional qualitied staff

  • Interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling
  • Ensure all Front Desk shifts are covered
  • Enforce current policies and procedures
  • Create additional hotel programs to ensure profitability and effective operation
  • Implement upselling techniques to maximize revenue
  • Respond to all guest requests, complaints and resolve guest concerns
  • Respond to any accidents presented at Front Desk and emergency issues.
  • Lobby inspection to maintain proper standards of quality.
  • Train and retain front desk agents in accordance to Millennium standards
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:


  • Three (3) year's of hotel front office manager experience
  • Proficient working knowledge in OPERA
  • Minimum of two (2) years hotel experience as Front Desk Manager or progressive front desk responsibility.
  • Strong English skills, both oral and written.
  • Works well as a member of a group

Pay:
$58, $64,152.00 per year
