- Estimates quantity and quality of supplies and materials needed; orders equipment and supplies for the course; follows through with purchasing department or procurement of supplies; maintains adequate stock levels
- Organizes, promotes, coordinates, and conducts specific programs with adults or youth including letter writing, telephoning, public speaking, training, counseling, and public relations work; teaches technical subject matter in areas such as home economics, agriculture, and community development
- Conducts literature searches and assists in determining most suitable methods to be used in research
- Prepares progress reports concerning research activities; assembles, organizes, and interprets data; performs photography in conjunction with experiments; prepares data for computer input; interprets computer output; assists in writing reports

- Bachelor's degree with major study in specific instructional area or equivalent education/experience.

South Puget Sound Community College (SPSCC) seeks highly motivated and qualified candidates to fill a part-time Instruction & Classroom Support Technician 2 for Machining Technologies. This position performs professional/technical instructional support involving the use of scientific, technical, and/or academic knowledge, materials, and techniques

Performs professional/technical instructional support involving the use of scientific, technical, and/or academic knowledge, materials, and techniques. Responsibilities typically include assisting faculty in the development of programs of instruction. Duties require limited design/development work such as modifying and/or adapting existing experiments and demonstrations, or implementing new experiments or demonstrations using standard techniques and procedures.

Hourly non-permanent employees accrue vacation, sick, personal holiday, personal leave, and holiday credit. These accruals are pro-rated based off of the hours worked in the prior month for both the vacation and sick monthly. The personal holiday and personal leave types only accrue after 4 months of continuous employment with the college.
