Summer Camp Director and After School Program Coordinator
Mirman School is looking for an organized and dynamic individual to work under, coordinate and
manage our summer after-school Annex program for the school year, and 2023
summer camp programs. This is a permanent, full-time position. The After School Program and
Summer Camp Coordinator works directly under the Director of Extended Programs to
coordinate the day-to-day operations of after school and summer camp for kindergarten-8th
grade students and be responsible for the well-being and safety of young children.

- Work onsite beginning in January and through the end of the summer program
- Work with Director of Extended Programs to create and manage summer camp schedule
- Work with the Director of Extended Programs to support recruiting, interviewing, staffing, and
- Manage registration and billing of summer program participants
- Work with summer programs faculty to order materials needed
- Manage student supervision schedule
- Ensure all camp safety protocols are followed and partner with facilities to ensure space is
- Serve as a mandated reporter, reporting any suspicion of child abuse or neglect to the Director
- Partner with campus facilities to ensure that the space is safe for staff and students
- Maintain staffing timesheets and student attendance records

- Work onsite Monday through Friday
- Supervise staff, programs and activities onsite for after school programs
- Coordinate homework, tutoring, and enrichment and recreation activities to students
- Establish a professional relationship with assigned school staff, students, and community
- Provide training and development to program staff
- Work with the Director of Extended Programs to create a quarterly enrichment program
- Coordinate monthly staffing calendar and work to provide subs if needed
- Maintain accurate staff and student attendance records
- Communicate effectively with parents as needed
- Ensure appropriate staffstudent ratios for supervision purposes for all activities
- Maintain a safe and engaging environment for all students and staff
- Serve as a mandated reporter, reporting any suspicion of child abuse or neglect to the Director
- Staff the front desk and manage phones until all students have left
- Schedule team meetings and other administrative tasks as assigned
- Qualifications
- Prior experience working in elementary afterschool programs and summer camps
- Strong knowledge of Google Suite and Microsoft Office
- Possess superb organizational skills
- First Aid and CPR training required
- Have excellent interpersonal communication skills and a sense of humor
