***An FRC Liaison will conduct support services in a Community Based setting at the Guadalupe Family Resource Center. This position consists of assisting/managing the daily operations of the Resource Center, in addition to data collection for program sustainability. FRC Liaisons are responsible for facilitating educational and family centered services in the form of community outreach, including but not limited to classes, interactive activities, support groups, outreach, as well as providing information/referrals to support and assist parents in providing the tools to promote healthy child development in the early years of life, as well as promoting resiliency within the community. An FRC Liaison will encourage meaningful interactions between parent and child, while supporting a parent to feel empowered and an advocate for their family. This position requires outreach coordination within the aspects of networking/participation to assigned committees/alliances and coordination of comprehensive services with key partners internal/external to meet the needs of the program.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Must be at least 21 years of age and must have a valid driver's license
  • Must have access to safe, reliable transportation with valid automobile insurance.
  • Must have a valid Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance card or is eligible to receive one
  • Must be able to pass Department of Child Safety Central Registry Background Check
  • When subpoenaed, testifying in court regarding a case according to PA policy.
  • Carry out activities in annual work plan and agency's strategic plan.
  • Ability to travel as needed based on Program Needs.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) required
  • Any other duties deemed necessary as requested by Associate Director/Supervisor/Executive Team
The following are the minimum requirements in regards to Degree and Experience:

  • A Bachelor's Degree (preferred) in early childhood education, social work, family studies, psychology or related field of study.
  • Must have 2 years of supervised experience working directly with culturally & economically diverse populations of Parents, infants, and children, as verified on a resume and reference verification

Must be able to demonstrate the following knowledge:

  • Knowledge of infant & child development, parent-child attachment, possible behavioral health dynamics of caregivers, as well as the dynamics of child abuse & neglect
  • Knowledge and experience in strengthbased and familycentered provision of primary prevention services.
  • Be neutral and ensure effective communication between program staff and families is in regards to arranging services/events, obtaining information to address family's needs, or for communicating issues that may endanger the safety of the children
  • Knowledge of community resources as well as how to navigate/access these resources for families. (Some examples of services are but not limited to Social Service Agencies, Provider Systems such as behavioral health, and division of developmental disabilities.)

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills (e.g., nonjudgmental, objective, reflective, empathic, patient, tactful).
  • Demonstrate and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills to promote clear understanding.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently, be selfmotivated, and to work cohesively within team dynamics to effectively meet program requirements/objectives.
  • Have a strong competency in planning, organizing, scheduling, record keeping, and effective programmatic communications.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong project coordination skills, including but not limited to, managing multiple simultaneous events/groups, multiple center participants, event planning and any requirement that meet the needs of the Resource Center.

Schedule:
Regular - Full Time (FT), Days, M-F, Some Evenings and Weekends
