Responsibilities:


  • Provide coverage during practices and events at local high schools, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of athletes.
  • Assess and treat emergency, acute, and chronic injuries in accordance with best practices and protocols.
  • Develop and implement reconditioning programs to help athletes and active individuals recover from injuries and prevent recurrence.
  • Build and maintain working relationships with area schools and industries to provide offsite outreach specialty programs.
  • Act as a liaison between the hospital, athletes, parents, coaches, school administration, and supervising physician, coordinating care and referrals as needed.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for athletes and active individuals.

Certification and Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited CAATE program.
  • Current BOC Athletic Trainer certification.
  • 1 year of experience in the high school or college setting preferred.

Pay:
$32 - $41 per hour


Responsibilities (Text Only):Essential Functions of the Athletic Trainer Role**:

  • Prescribe routine and corrective exercises to strengthen muscles
  • Communicate with coaches, parents, clinical team, physician team and expanded healthcare team as needed
  • Treat chronic minor injuries and related disabilities to maintain athletes' performance

Qualifications (Text Only):Experience and Skills Required**:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from an accredited four-year college or university required
  • Unrestricted Athletic Trainer (ATC) licensure to practice in State of employment
  • 12 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and training preferred. Newly licensed encouraged to apply.
