    Job Description

    A Landscape and Irrigation Installation Crew Leader for HorizonWest Landscape Services will be responsible for overseeing and managing landscape projects (mainly commercial projects), ensuring that installations are completed efficiently, on time, and to a high standard of quality.

    1. Job Title: Landscape and Irrigation Installation Crew Leader
    2. Job Purpose: To lead and manage teams in the installation of landscaping projects, including the planting of trees, shrubs, sod, and the installation of hardscapes like patios, walkways, and water features with an emphasis on commercial irrigation
    3. Key Responsibilities:
      • Supervise and coordinate the activities of landscape installation crews.
      • Read and interpret commercial blueprints, project plans and specifications.
      • Ensure that all work is completed in accordance with design plans, and client expectations.
      • Manage the installation of hardscapes, softscapes, irrigation systems, and other landscape elements.
      • Monitor the health and quality of plants and other materials being installed.
      • Operate and maintain tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
      • Provide training and guidance to team members.
      • Communicate with clients, contractors, and team members to ensure project success.
      • Manage inventory of materials and supplies.
      • Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations.
      • Track and report on project progress and budget.
    4. Qualifications and Skills:
      • Proven experience in commercial landscape installation.
      • Strong leadership and team management skills.
      • Knowledge of horticulture, plant identification, and landscape construction techniques.
      • Ability to read and interpret landscaping plans and drawings.
      • Proficiency in operating landscaping tools and machinery.
      • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
      • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
      • A valid driver's license and possibly a commercial driver's license (CDL).
    5. Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
      • This role typically requires working outdoors in various weather conditions.
      • Physical fitness is important as the job involves manual labor, including lifting, bending, and walking for extended periods.
