Description

JOB DESCRIPTION
Performs entry-level computer systems analysis work. Works under close supervision, with mínimal latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Employees at this level may have limited experience or no experience and spend the majority of their time performing simple to routine work following standard procedures.


This position works in a hybrid work environment where employees must be able to work physically in the office regularly as needed and at home, depending on business needs.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Analyzes new or existing procedures, information systems, or utility programs for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Tests and diagnoses systems to ensure that critical requirements are met.
  • Contributes to the designs, modifications, and implementation of new or revised systems to serve new purposes or improve workflow.
  • Prepares charts, diagrams, tables, and flowcharts to assist in problem analysis and submits recommendations for solution.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
Graduation from an accredited two
- or four-year college or university with a degree in computer information systems or a related field


Experience:
Two years' experience performing systems analysis work, system support and/or system processes.

Education and experience may substitute for one another on a year for year basis.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Major course work in information systems, information science, or computer science.
  • CompTIA certifications relevant to this position.
  • Experience with using Adobe Acrobat Pro.
  • Experience with using Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Experience with using collaboration and meeting software such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
  • Prior state experience working in an IT department.

REGISTRATION, CERTIFICATION, OR LICENSURE

  • Valid driver's license

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of data management and classification best practices.
  • Knowledge of content management systems.
  • Knowledge of IT security tools and best practices.
  • Knowledge of system workflows and automation tools.
  • Skilled in solving problems; in scheduling, testing, installing, and implementing software programs; and in troubleshooting computer systems.
  • Skilled in using current technology including, but not limited to, use of Microsoft O365, Adobe Acrobat Pro, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams and Zoom.
  • Skilled in managing multiple tasks with an eye for detail.
  • Skilled in analyzing systems and then developing and revising standards and procedures.
  • Ability to write and revise IT policies.
  • Ability to perform work related tasks promptly and professionally.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Must be able to work physically in the office during work hours regularly.
