The VP, Healthcare Operations directs and facilitates day-to-day operations through the delivery of cost-effective and high-quality healthcare services.

Provides strategic leadership through design and implementation of plans for new or expanded business lines to serve the needs of residents, families, and the community.

Develops effective partnerships and promotes collaboration with operations leaders, community executive directors and administrators, and other Community Support Center functions.

Assures implementation of company-wide strategic initiatives and policies to achieve company mission and goals. Participates with senior leadership to achieve the highest quality health care in a clinically and fiscally accountable manner.

  • Manages the daytoday operations for the CSC healthcare team. Provides leadership in building a team and an organization that will assume responsibility and accountability for achieving both HumanGood's mission and OKRs (objectives and key results).
  • Oversight of all healthcare service lines in partnership with operations leaders (VP, operations, executive director, health services administrator) to ensure that services, resources, competencies, and care delivery meet company standards and expectations. Maintains strong collaborative relationships with operations leaders to provide for the seamless transition of residents/patients across the continuum of care offered by the company.
  • Drive operational excellence efforts throughout healthcare services across HumanGood. Ensure clear standard operating procedures are developed, communicated, and implemented. Lead and facilitate process improvement efforts to further improve efficiency and positive impact for team members and residents.
  • Provides leadership in the development and execution of key strategies which differentiate HumanGood from its competitors in service and clinical excellence. Establishes clearly defined goals and objectives and ensures followthrough in a timely manner. Promotes open, effective, and ongoing communication and the sharing of information among and between team members, leadership, vendor partners and medical directors.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders, including operations, buildings and grounds, procurement, legal, IT, human resources, communications, and healthcare regulatory/quality.
  • Partners with operating leaders to manage the operating and capital budgets of areas of responsibility. Aggressively mitigates all variances to budget. Makes sound decisions on best use of resources in support of company priorities and strategies.
  • Respond effectively to emergency and/or crisis situations, ensuring clear communication, risk and problem identification, resource assignments, and management of the situation to an appropriate resolution. Ensure reporting to regulatory agencies as required.
  • Supports the successful operational implementation and optimization of the electronic health record and other technologies to improve care quality, service, and efficiency.
  • Provides leadership in mentoring and developing direct reports and team members in a manner which emphasizes the importance of teamwork, collaboration, and the sharing of information, resources, and best practices among stakeholders across the organization. With HR, directs the implementation of integrated human resources strategies to ensure quality results in the identification, recruitment, retention, and development of healthcare team members.
  • Understands, articulates, and ensures compliance with standards reflected in federal and state regulation, and organizational policies and practices.
  • Achieves/exceeds performance expectations throughout the company's operations. Establishes an environment that supports team members and enhances growth, communication, and job satisfaction.
  • Communicates effectively as an advocate to members of the community, continually seeking ways to improve and promote the marketing and public relations objective of the company.
  • Consistently supports compliance and company's values by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting noncompliance, and adhering to applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, and licenser requirements (if applicable), and HumanGood policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications:


  • Academic degree in nursing or related field required (Health administration, business, public health, or management).
  • Minimum ten (10) years of progressive experience in clinical, management and leadership roles in a skilled nursing facility or multiservice healthcare provider setting.
  • Ability to travel approximately 25% (up to one week per month)

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Master's degree
  • Valid and current California Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) license
  • California RCFE certified administrator
  • Registered
