    Local firm seeking an experienced construction to join the firm, will have a book of business and senior level experience

    Well established downtown Houston lawfirm Their clients include individuals, families, trusts, estates, major financial institutions and American and foreign business interests engaged in real estate development and management, aviation, upstream oil and gas, construction, insurance, retailing, wholesaling, manufacturing and merchandising.

    We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Lateral Construction Attorney to join our legal team. The successful candidate will have a focus on Commercial Construction, Construction Defect, Business Litigation, Product Liability, and Mediation.

    This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to provide legal counsel and support to our construction team on a broad range of issues.

    The role requires at least 2 years of experience in the relevant field.
    Provide legal advice and representation to clients in the construction industry, including contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
    Handle cases related to commercial construction, construction defects, business litigation, product liability, and mediation.
    Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements related to construction projects.
    Conduct research to interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
    Prepare and draft legal documents, such as wills, deeds, patent applications, mortgages, leases, and contracts.
    Advise clients concerning business transactions, claim liability, advisability of prosecuting or defending lawsuits, or legal rights and obligations.
    Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
    Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
    Experience in commercial construction, construction defect, business litigation, product liability, and mediation.
    Strong understanding of the construction industry and related legal issues.
    Must be licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
    Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal issues in clear, understandable language.
