SUMMARY
We are looking for a Hotel Food & Beverage Manager. This position is responsible for providing excellent service. She/he is responsible for the sanitation and cleanliness of all F&B areas. She/he will ensure safe food handling. In addition, this position will assist the Food & Beverage Director in training and supervising other employees. She/he is expected to develop and promote superior service skills in dealing with clients, guests, and co-workers.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- 2 year college degree is preferred.
- Fluent in English is required.
- Food handling certificate required.
- HOTEL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- 13 years progressive experience in hotel food and beverage.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Long hours sometimes required.
- Ability to stand during entire shift.
- Light work exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 2575 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
- Ability to reach overhead, utilize both hands, to bend over and to stoop and kneel.
- Must be capable of climbing and descending stairs during their shift.
- Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must have previous hotel food and beverage experience.
- NYC Food Handler certification requires
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include compliance with LodgeWorks dress code and wearing a name tag when working.
- Maintain professional verbal and physical conduct as well as a friendly demeanor at all times.
- Must be always attentive, courteous and efficient in the dealings with guests and all other employees.
- Greet and welcome all guests in accordance with Brand standards. Handle customer complaints and resolve situations.
- Establish and maintain good communications and team work with fellow employees and other departments within the hotel.
- Support F&B Director in supervision of Food & Beverage staff.
- Ensures guest satisfaction
- Work with F&B Director to develop effective and efficient work plans including scheduling and assigns appropriate duties to subordinates.
- Assist with inventories
- Administer all cash control and cash handling procedures.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable occupational, health, and safety regulations and laws.
- Ensure a high level of cleanliness in all service areas.
- Responsible for Food & Beverage Health Inspections.
- Attend meetings as required.
- Perform any other duties as requested.
