Our Emergency Service:
At VCA Veterinary Emergency Service, we are committed to providing top-notch care for pets in times of illness or injury.
Our Emergency Technicians excel in a fast-paced environment, handling critical cases and finding the caseload stimulating. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality emergency care to animals in need.Our Emergency and Critical Care team is crucial in ensuring that the most critical cases receive immediate attention and that all patients receive the care they need.
Assist Doctors:
Collaborate closely with veterinarians to assist in exams, treatments, and medical procedures for emergency cases.
Team Collaboration:
Work in conjunction with all technical staff across the hospital to ensure hospitalized patients receive optimal care. Maintain open communication with the healthcare team.
Intensive Care Unit (ICU): Vigilantly monitor hospitalized patients, recognizing subtle changes in their clinical status and promptly reporting any concerns to the veterinary team.
Provide clear and concise discharge instructions to clients, ensuring they understand the care their furry family member requires after leaving the hospital.
Operate diagnostic imaging equipment and assist in capturing radiographs and other diagnostic images.Blood Transfusion Therapy:
Including collection, administration, and transfusion reactions.
Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) or internship trained.
Schedule:
Part-time opportunity, Overnight/ 3rd shift.
Starting range is determined by skill set and years of experience in the field. Financial growth opportunities available.
