JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW Using the CMM and other inspection devices performs layouts of fixtures and parts to assure the continued quality of the current and new products. Monitor and record the results of the layouts on to the appropriate documentation. Provide technical quality support and assist and support in the PPAP process.
JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW - Perform layouts of fixtures and parts using the CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines) and other devices. Utilize CMM and inspection equipment to measure/layout complex components to engineering requirements. - Ability to interpret CMM reports and link them to blueprint dimensions - Assist with PPAP documentation. Prepare dimensional reports for PPAP submissions accurately and in a timely manner, as required - Actively engage in containment activities, as required - Perform layered process audits and 5S audits, as required - Maintain inspection documentation - Ensure all gages located on the manufacturing floor are clean, available, and functioning properly - Assist in simple gauge repair and replacement - Assist in the identification and creation of visual aides, as needed - Support processing of Hold Area, as needed - Contribute to the continuous improvement initiatives on all aspect of the job - Additional duties may be assigned, as required
QUALIFICATIONS - Minimum of 3 years' experience operating and programming CMM equipment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience - Excellent computer skills in Excel, Word, AUTOCAD - Knowledge and experience in the tool build and design - Knowledge of Geometric Tolerance and Dimensioning (GD&T) and datum structures - Ability to read complex blueprints - Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills - Good working knowledge of various measuring equipment (i.e., micrometer, height gauge, etc.) - Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel within the company
Pay:
$ $30.00 per hour
