ANNUALLY

PROBATION:
All persons, including current City employees, selected from this position will be on probation for 6 months.


CLASS DEFINITION


A Vehicle Processor inspects vehicles towed to Baltimore City's impoundment lot and records intake and vehicle identification information for accountability purposes.

The work of this class involves no supervisory duties or responsibilities.


SELECTION PROCESS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:
Have graduated from an accredited high school or possession of a GED certificate


AND

EXPERIENCE:
Have one year of experience in office support work.

LICENSES,


REGISTRATIONS
AND CERTIFICATES:

Have valid Maryland Class C Non-Commercial driver's license or an equivalent driver's license and eligible to obtain a Baltimore City driver's permit.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS,
AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of basic computer functions.
  • Skill in reading and accurately transferring data from initial source to written form and computerized database.
  • Observational skills.
  • Ability to observe and accurately record findings.
  • Ability to write legibly.
  • Ability to communicate orally.
  • Ability to enter, verify and correct data entry errors.
  • Ability to operate digital cameras and upload pictures.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Ability to maintain records.
  • Ability to follow directions and protocols.

EXAMINATION PROCESS

  • NOTE: Those eligibles who are under final consideration for appointment to positions in this class will be required to authorize the release of criminal conviction information.
