    Description

    JOB DESCRIPTION
    As a Brand Lead, you will lead activities, programs and/or resources to maintain and evolve brand strategy and governance frameworks, systems, tools and assets. Will oversee efforts related to the implementation of brand guidelines and guides the implementation of the brand verbal and visual identity to ensure consistency across the organization. Identifies brand strategy and brand assets. Leads collaboration efforts with stakeholders across the organization to drive and optimize brand performance and value.
    RESPONSIBILITIES
    This role is hybrid (3) days a week based out of our Northbrook or Chicago, IL office

    • Leads the maintenance and development of brand guidelines, standards and corporate design systems to ensure brand assets and tools keep pace with business needs.
    • Drives internal brand education, governance and adherence to brand standards across internal teams and agency partners.
    • Provides project management and/or advisory support to brand transitions for an extensive portfolio of recently acquired companies.
    • Provides review, approval and/or recommendations on brand ticket submissions from across our global team related to co-branding, brand execution and verbal/visual identity.
    • Manages the brand merchandise store, including vendor relationship, inventory selection, brand execution, and performance reporting.
    • Contributes to brand building activities, including awareness campaigns.
    • Contributes to brand analysis and tracking in target markets to evaluate performance against business objectives, identify competitive threats, and highlight brand strength/weaknesses.
    • Provides strategic guidance for brand architecture implementation including merger and acquisitions (M&A) brand integrations and naming.
    • Works with internal communication team to communicate brand values and news to internal stakeholders.
    • Read and follow the UL Solutions and follow all physical and digital security practices.
    • Contributes to business success by performing other tasks as required.


    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Degree in business, marketing, communication or a related field
    • Generally eight years or more of related experience or demonstrated competency
    • Strong written and oral communication skills
    • Strong collaboration skills
    • Strong command of visual, verbal and strategic brand identity elements
    • Strong project planning and management skills
    • Strong business acumen
    • Strategic thinking
    • Project-based budget management and tracking skills
    • Ability to work in a matrix environment
    • Demonstrated skill in delivering consultative expertise
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience managing and/or using a wide array of internal communication tools
