Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Solar Technician to join our team. As a Solar Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing solar energy systems. This is a hands-on role that requires technical expertise and attention to detail. This is a contract position which may lead to a permanent position.


Responsibilities:

• Install solar panels, and other components of solar energy systems
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on existing solar installations
• Troubleshoot and repair any issues or malfunctions in solar systems
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during installation and maintenance processes
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively
• Keep accurate records of work performed and materials use
• Participate in required training, including OntheJob Training, Self-Study, Computer Based Training and Classroom Training

Skills:

• Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant electrical codes and regulations
• Experience as a commercial electrician or in a related field
• Familiarity with low voltage systems and components
• Proficiency in using power tools and equipment commonly used in solar installations
• Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently
• Strong blueprint reading skills to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Experience with fixture installation and electrical wiring
• Understanding of high voltage systems and safety protocols

$ $45.00 per hour
