Custodial Supervisor - Springfield, United States - SINGLE SOURCE SVC INC

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the custodial staff, ensuring that all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard
• Perform a variety of custodial duties, including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing
• Maintain and clean floors using appropriate techniques such as buffing, waxing, and polishing
• Ensure that all areas of the facility are clean and wellmaintained, including restrooms, offices, classrooms, and common areas
• Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and equipment as needed
• Respond to maintenance requests and address any issues related to facilities maintenance
• Train new custodial staff members on proper cleaning procedures and safety protocols
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations while performing custodial duties
• Cover all call outs or ensure shifts are replaced

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of floor care techniques, including buffing, waxing, and polishing
• Experience in commercial cleaning or custodial work
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and carpet cleaners
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques for different surfaces and materials
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of cleanliness throughout the facility
• Strong organizational skills to effectively manage custodial staff and prioritize tasks
• Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
• Knowledge of facilities maintenance procedures is a plus
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff, customers, and employer
