Overview:
The Receiving Clerk will ensure that all good are receiving and inspected when entering the hotel. The clerk will also assist with the organization and delivery of product within the hotel.


Responsibilities:


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure all goods received meet hotel quality standards and specifications on the Purchase order, match invoice/packing slip to purchase order.
  • Ensure handling of goods are free of contamination.
  • Expedites delivery of goods to operating departments.
  • Always promotes positive guest and team member relations.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, safe, hazardfree work environment within area of responsibility.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma and six (6) months of hotel receiving experience or an equivalent combination of experience and education.

  • Ability to deliver a service level which creates an atmosphere that makes our guests want to return, giving each guest a positive, memorable entertainment experience.
  • Commitment to routinely go above and beyond in the accomplishment of position responsibilities to play a role in the achievement of organizational goals.
  • Must present an image of excitement, enthusiasm, and outgoing personality, while being able to project a professional demeanor.
Must possess strong organizational skills and be detail oriented.

  • Must be able to follow safety rules and procedures as indicated by Purchasing Manager.
  • Must be able to follow all food safety protocols.
  • Must possess strong communication skills.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with vendors and team members, specific to workrelated duties.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures manuals.
  • Ability to write routine correspondence to outlets, purchasing and culinary Management.
  • Must possess basic mathematical skills to include ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide specific to position responsibilities.

The team member is required to stand for long periods of time, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee may lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

  • Deep understanding of lifestyle hotels.
  • Must meet legal requirements for any required licensing.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
