Overview:
SUMMARY:
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws when Supervisor is out. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Oversees and coordinates the activities of the Warehouse Team Members to provide a safe, accurate and productive working environment by performing the following duties.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include the following, additional duties may be assigned.
- Coordinates activities or workers engaged in receiving, lifting, transporting, storing and loading materials and products by use of hand trucks and forklifts
- Studies requests for movement of raw materials and reports of warehousing space available to develop schedule for all warehouse activities
- Confers with supervisors of other departments to coordinate flow of materials or products
- Verifies or prepares records such as material requisitions and work orders
- Ensures all Locator System procedures are followed
- Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment
- Interprets work orders to workers, and assigns duties
- Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules
- Track KPI's and organize employee rotations
- Run orbit reports to monitor daily functions
- Identifies and satisfies training needs of employees
- Studies and standardizes work procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates
- Adjusts errors and complaints develops and implements action plans to improve accuracy and conformance
- Follows established safety programs and maintains knowledge of safe working practices
- Accountable for subordinates following safety programs
- Maintains warehouse neatness and conducts regular inspections
- Maintains harmony among workers and resolves grievances
Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE
- Four years or more of warehouse experience
- Ability to lead a team
- Knowledge of warehouse equipment and safety
- Ability to operate CRT and handheld computer systems
- Experience with ERP systems (Oracle) required
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Ability to lift 25lbs on a frequent basis and team lift 50lbs
- Ability to stand and sit for 8 hours or more per day
- Ability to walk on a constant basis
- Constantly lifts, carries, pushes and pulls packages on a repetitive basis
- Ability to sit, kneel, climb, squat, bend and twist
- Ability to read, write, count and perform basic math accurately
- The temperature while working in containers will reflect the weather outside
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate

- Ability to discern numbers and information to sort packages correctly

- Ability to lead a team
- Ability to navigate through Microsoft office and teams
