EH&S Manager Summary:

Plans, directs and implements the organization Environmental, Safety and Health (EH&S) program, healthy and environmentally compliant environment by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.


EH&S Manager Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Policy development, implementation, administration, training, and compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations.
  • Ensure that each facility has proper documentation, including current procedures and training records for record keeping on all activities to demonstrate compliance to government regulations, insurance requirements, and company policy.
  • Recommend systems and policies, which ensure compliance with applicable EH&S standards, governmental regulations and company goals/objectives.
  • Perform internal audits and inspections. Recommend corrective or preventative measures where indicated. Followup to ensure measures have been implemented.
  • Assist with customer EH&S audits and complete, as required, all safety and environmental questionnaires as submitted by our customers.
  • Review SDS sheets and, all new or modified processing equipment. Alert management as to any potential "unsafe" condition.
  • Chair of the site Safety Committee and provide guidance to management.
  • Accident investigation, file maintenance and OSHA record keeping.
  • Coordinate employee medical surveillance, industrial hygiene and environmental monitoring. Maintain safety files, records and training database.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

EH&S Manager Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree from four year college or university. Five to Seven or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
