We are looking for a dedicated team member to create and execute our school-wide Family and Community Engagement Strategy and Out-of-School Time (OST) in close partnership with academic and organizational leaders to ensure that families and the community are true partners in the work that we do.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
As the Director of Family & Community Engagement and Out-of-School Time, you will:
Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and execute a
Family and Community Engagement Plan to:

Coordinate all school-wide family communication, including management of communication platforms and the Family Monthly Newsletter
Develop, implement, and promote a calendar of schoolwide family engagement events, including academic workshops and engaging activities that support family involvement in their student's education.
Facilitate the Family Concern Process, including directly responding to and addressing family requests and connecting families to community resources
Conduct preliminary and annual assessments to measure growth towards goals by managing and analyzing family survey data and other measurement tools
Collaborate with various school teams to organize program logistics, such as registration, schedules, supply requests, and other programmatic needs
Represent Ingenuity Prep at local events and foster strategic partnerships within the community to support the needs of the larger school community and key stakeholders while serving as a liaison between Ingenuity Prep and the greater Ward 8 and DC community

Oversee all
Out-of-School Time activities including:

Maintain student participation and attendance in the Before and After School Care Program; via recruitment and retention activities and student voice engagement strategies
Build and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders (participants, parents, school staff and administration) to maintain a clear and consistent line of communication with program staff, school administration, and parents
Lead point of contact for:
OSSE Child Care Subsidy Program
Public Charter School Athletic Association
Develop and implement systems for monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of Before and After School Programming, including participant feedback, program outcomes, and stakeholder input
In partnership with the Athletic Manager, identifies the athletic program offerings for each academy and designs a plan for program implementation, including scheduling of activities

Management of
Attendance compliance by doing the following:

Foster a culture of attendance awareness and accountability across the school community.
Develop and implement strategies to monitor and improve student attendance and chronic absenteeism rates across all grade levels.
Analyze attendance data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and effectiveness of interventions to report on progress with school leadership and stakeholders.
Design and implement targeted interventions in collaboration with families, community organizations, and government agencies to address attendance barriers, such as transportation issues, health concerns, or family challenges and promote a culture of regular school attendance.
