We are currently seeking a Psychologist or Social Pedagogue (m/f/d) to work as a school companion in the Darmstadt-Dieburg district, specifically in Weiterstadt, Dieburg, and Babenhausen, Germany.

This is a full-time or part-time position at Impuls GmbH, an institute for educational assistance and therapy.

Our organization, founded in 2015, provides services in the areas of child and youth welfare, including residential, semi-residential, and outpatient support.

We currently have 15 facilities in the RheinMain area and employ approximately 200 staff members. Our administrative headquarters is located in Rüsselsheim am Main.


Responsibilities:

  • Accompany and support students during classes
  • Identify and develop the client's abilities
  • Provide structure and orientation
  • Assist with interactions with teachers and other students
  • Support participation in school activities (such as class trips, changing classrooms, outdoor lessons, etc.)
  • Offer emotional support, including reducing fears, building relationships, boosting selfconfidence, and providing support in crisis and stress situations, conflict management, and conflict resolution
  • Collaborate on the use of aids
  • Coordinate with educators, teachers, lecturers, or trainers

Requirements:

  • University degree in pedagogy, social work, or psychology and/or work experience in the field of school support
  • Basic knowledge of communication skills
  • Empathy, creativity, teamwork, and resilience
