The waterworks of the city of Starnberg is currently seeking a full-time and permanent Water Master (m/f/d) as Head of Department (m/f/d) for Technology at Yankee Lake.

The waterworks is a municipal enterprise of the city of Starnberg and operates several water extraction and storage facilities as well as a pipeline network with a length of 150 km and approximately 5,600 house connections.

As Head of Department (m/f/d) for Technology, you will be responsible for the operational and technical management of the water supply.

Your tasks will include, among others, handling construction services, risk management, crisis management, decisions regarding the control of PLS / SPS systems, technical controlling, budget planning and control, staff management, creating duty schedules, as well as planning, organizing and conducting maintenance, inspections, expansions, and troubleshooting for existing facilities and pipelines.

You will also be responsible for monitoring and ensuring the proper execution of tasks and orders by external companies. On-call duty will be on a rotating basis.


WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:

A successfully completed training as a Water Master (m/f/d) or Technician (m/f/d) with a specialization in water supply technology or a similar qualification, as well as several years of relevant professional experience in drinking water supply.

In-depth knowledge of technical regulations (e.g. DVGW) and relevant laws and regulations; knowledge of electrical engineering is an advantage. Organizational skills, resilience, teamwork, flexibility,
