Braden Property Management is searching for a Maintenance Field Technician to provide quick and thorough repairs for a variety of issues throughout our portfolio of homes in and around the Charlottesville area.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

SOME OF THE MAIN JOB DUTIES:

  • Complete repairs & routine preventative maintenance in occupied homes as assigned
  • Complete make ready process of vacant homes as assigned
  • Participate in morning alignments, gather work orders, keys, and discuss an approach to the work order's punch list
  • Track time & keep records of work for each maintenance request within software
  • Prepare and submit field notes for administrative staff's preparation of billing

COMPETENCIES:

  • Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, and other home systems
  • Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
  • Must have ability to prioritize and problem solve
  • Ability to communicate clearly and quickly with internal team members and external customer/clients
  • Ability to self manage
  • Must know, understand, and adhere to health and safety standards & regulations

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be willing to obtain other training/certifications as required
  • Must have basic experience with technology include computer and smartphone usage

POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
This is an hourly, non-exempt position - Monday-Friday, 9AM - 5PM. Overtime (over 40 hours) paid at time and a half with supervisor approval.


TRAVEL/DRIVING AND OTHER EXPECTATIONS:
Work vehicle and tools will be provided. Must hold a valid driver's license. Must have manual dexterity and be in good physical condition and strength. Use of a personal cell phone is required.
