Description
Almac Group is currently seeking a Information Security Specialist II for our Souderton, PA location. The Information Security Specialist II supports the operation of the information security management system that defends mission critical information and 24x7 systems at all Almac sitesHybrid role after being onsite fully for 6 months.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Operation and maintenance of security devices including firewalls, SIEM, and IPS
- Security Incident Response
- Security Risk Assessment and Security Risk Treatment
- Serve as a resource to all Almac Divisions to identify security requirements, manage security vulnerabilities, and maintain a current understanding of the latest security issues and trends
- Monitor compliance with the Information Security Management System by performing Application, Server, and Network security assessments, vulnerability scans, and policy/procedure/documentation audits.
- Support internal, external and regulatory audits.
- Monitor and respond to issues identified by deployed security technologies (SIEM, IPS, etc.)
Qualifications:
Required Experience / Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related technical field, or equivalent experience or,
- Associates Degree in Information Technology and 8 years experience, or
- High School Diploma or greater and 10 years experience
- 3+ years of related experience in Information Security
- Expertise in firewalls, SIEM, and IPS.
- Understanding of security best practices
- Knowledge of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls and associated network protocols and concepts.
Preferred Experience / Education:
- CISSP, CISM, SANS
- Operating systems (Windows, Linux)
- Database platforms (SQL, Oracle)
- Experience with common Information Security Management Frameworks, such as SOX, PCI, HIPAA, ISO27001
