Summary:
- A Cellar Server will provide courteous, timely and professional service in the restaurant, show complete knowledge of all menus and pricing, as well as proactive, customeroriented attitude.
Compensation:
$16.00 hourly + tips
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet guests with a smile and respond quickly to requests in a friendly and courteous manner informing them of daily specials and answering questions regarding menu items.
- Be knowledgeable of all menu items and pricing.
- Must understand and adhere to basic dining room service procedures.
- Efficiently take and deliver food and beverage orders from guests, input into the POS system, and ensure timely and consistent service of orders.
- Pre bus tables between courses.
- Maintain a clean work area and perform side work at the end of the shift.
- Process guest payments in a timely and efficient manner ensuring accuracy of guest check.
- Be willing to assist fellow servers and bus persons as needed.
- Maintains friendly, polite, and appropriate behavior (such as posture, eye contact, smile, etc.) throughout the whole interaction with the guests.
- Makes management aware of all issues in regards to malfunctioning equipment, and/or damaged furnishings in the restaurant.
- Thank the guests for coming and invite them to return.
- Understand and adhere to the Ponte values, safety and service standards.
- Understand and adhere to environmental standards set by the winery.
- Ensure the safety of guests and associates.
- Perform any other tasks as requested by Management.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Food Handlers Card is required.
- Must be available nights, weekends, and holidays.
- 12 years Food Serving experience
- Ability to treat all associates and guests in a respectful manner.
- Exhibits integrity (honesty and truthfulness).
- Must have excellent communication, multitasking and organizational skills.
- Must have exceptional grooming standards that are consistent with company guidelines.
- Must be able to lift and carry a tray weighing up to 40 lbs through a busy dining area.
- Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
- Must be able to work up to 8 hours per shift.
