Position Description


The Harvest Agent performs duties as assigned within the harvest department including: defoliating and physically harvesting plants, weight recording, maintaining environmental conditions, destemming, curing procedures, routine cleaning, and regulatory compliance that adheres to the regulations established by the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintains performance in a high stressfast paced work environment.
  • Understanding that all sub departments within production are tied to measurable performance metrics and strives to achieve expected harvesting rates, production weights, and buck down speeds through focused and prompt attention to the job at hand.
  • The harvest agent works together with the harvest team to accomplish all harvest team duties. This includes but not limited to defoliating grow rooms before harvest, physically harvesting the plants and hanging them to dry, monitoring product conditions, destemming dried product and batching it accordingly within tracking systems, maintaining environmental conditions of dry and cure rooms, adhering to the burping schedule, log reporting, routine department cleaning, and all other direction set forth by the Harvest Lead and Leadership Team.
  • The harvest agent works within the harvest department but can be utilized to support other sub departments within the facility as directed by the supervisor. The Harvest Agent reports directly to the Harvest Lead.
  • Notifies direct supervisors if potential bottlenecks and/or issues related to production operations arise.
  • Maintains professional and technical cannabis knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing legitimate publications, establishing networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Ensures the stability and reputation of the marijuana cultivation facility by complying with legal requirements at the local and state levels.

Job Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver's license or ID and reliable transportation
  • A State and Federal background check and preemployment drug test.
  • Ability to stand, bend/twist, sit, crouch, and use full range of motion for hours at a time to complete physical job duties.
  • Certain situations require that work is completed on weekends, after hours, and holidays.
  • Harvest team burping schedule requires select team members to work on the weekends when it's their day on the rotating schedule.**
