Description

Able Construction, a leading construction company specializing in residential and commercial projects, is seeking a skilled and experienced bookkeeper to join our team.

We are looking for someone with a strong background in bookkeeping and intimate knowledge of the software Xactimate. This is a full-time position offering competitive compensation of $20-35 per hour depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and payroll records.
Utilize Xactimate software to accurately calculate project costs and prepare estimates for clients.
Monitor cash flow, track expenses, and reconcile bank statements to ensure financial accuracy.
Prepare and submit invoices, ensuring timely and accurate billing to clients.
Collaborate with the accounting team to assist in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
Maintain an organized filing system for financial documents and records.
Assist with annual audits and tax preparation.

Requirements:

Proven work experience as a bookkeeper, demonstrating strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Expertise in using Xactimate software for estimating and project cost calculations.
Proficiency in using QuickBooks accounting software.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Effective communication skills to interact with team members, clients, and vendors.
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to bookkeeping and accounting.
