Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is a premier custom design build contractor for industrial refrigeration systems, providing design, fabrication, construction, commissioning, and service in-house.


Key Duties:


  • Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
  • Update accounts receivable and issue invoices
  • Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations
  • Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
  • Assist with reviewing of expenses, payroll records etc. as assigned
  • Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
  • Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports
  • Assist senior accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings
  • Assist with other accounting projects

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's in Accounting (Master's in Accounting preferred)
  • CPA Preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with a broad range of individuals from different departments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Selfmotivated with a desire to succeed
  • Must be able to take on new tasks with mínimal direction and also detailorientated to handle high volumes of data
  • Must possess strong problemsolving skills
  • Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills

Other Preferred Skills:


  • Understanding of sales and use tax laws preferred
  • Experience preparing complex ad hoc financial analyses
  • A drive to improve processes
  • Excels in an everchanging work environment
  • Leadership experience or capabilities strongly preferred
  • Excellent technical skills with MRP system conversion experience
  • SQL Database query and maintenance experience
