GENERAL SUMMARY:

Responsible for planning and executing projects without day-to-day supervision at the enterprise or departmental level.

This position will execute projects that are complex, and often technical in nature, requiring cross-organizational cooperation and support, and oversight from end to end.

This position requires the ability to communicate to stakeholders across the organization, and lead both local and distributed project teams.


QUALIFICATIONS:


Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:


  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • Three (3) years in a project management role
  • Complete Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Certification within 12 months in the role
  • Complete Project Management Certification (CAPM or PMP) within 12 months in the role

Additional Preferred Education & Experience:


  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Experience or certification in Agile/Scrum
  • Experience in project management in the Banking and/or Financial Technology Sector
  • Experience with technology projects

WORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENT:

Infrequent lifting of up to 25 pounds may be required. Some travel may be necessary.


OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Typical office environment. Requires the employee to sit a majority of the time.

Must remain familiar with and adhere to Vantage West Credit Union policies and procedures and comply with all aspects of the Bank Secrecy Act.


MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES AND TASKS:


  • Develop and document an iterative project plan, including schedule and cost, for complex banking projects involving multiple departments or the entire organization.
  • Create project charters and work with stakeholders to create a clear definition of project completion
  • Influence and coordinate across multiple organizations and levels
  • Select, develop, and leverage appropriate technical and business resources needed for successful project execution
  • Align the project team around the project's visions, strategy, goals, and business objectives
  • Coordinate and control team activities, including technical implementation tasks, process reengineering, and organizational change activities to achieve desired results
  • Develops project execution strategies, guarantees timely completion, budget adherence, sufficient resources, technical proficiency, and fulfillment of business goals.
  • Conducts working sessions with appropriate stakeholders as needed for: project discovery and design, troubleshooting and problem solving, and risk mitigation.
  • Leads regular product reviews with product owners, key stakeholders, and senior leadership
  • Contributes to the Project Management Office goals and objectives
  • Resolves project issues at the lowest level and proactively communicates project problems when they cannot be solved, escalating as appropriate
  • Partner with external providers and vendors to implement project-related products, services, and solutions.
  • Identifies project risk and takes proactive measures to mitigate where possible
  • Performs other duties as assigned
