Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our dynamic Emergency Room team.

As an Emergency Room Nurse, you will be responsible for providing quality patient care in a fast-paced and challenging environment.

You will assess patient conditions, administer medication, perform emergency medical procedures, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.

Your strong critical thinking, excellent communication skills, and ability to thrive under pressure will be essential in this role.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Assess, prioritize, and manage patients in emergency situations promptly
Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to established protocols
Perform necessary medical procedures, such as wound care, splinting, and starting IV lines
Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately and timely
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans
Educate patients and their families about their condition, treatment plans, and available resources
Maintain emergency room equipment and supplies, ensuring readiness for medical emergencies
Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and infection control protocols
Deliver compassionate and culturally sensitive care to patients of diverse backgrounds
Assist in the supervision and training of new nursing staff

Qualifications and Skills:

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred
Minimum of two years of experience in an emergency room or critical care setting
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
Strong knowledge of emergency medical procedures, triage, and rapid assessment
Excellent clinical judgment and decisionmaking abilities
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to multitask efficiently and prioritize patient care
Proficient in electronic medical record (EMR) documentation
Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays
Ability to remain calm and focused in highstress situations
