Department Overview:


Job Summary:

The Project Specialist I coordinates projects in support of Company or department activities. Handles project details and assists others with more complex aspects of projects.


Depth & Scope:


  • Assists in implementing project plans under the direction of others in department; communicates with various internal personnel and outside vendors to coordinate project details
  • Maintains appropriate project records, communications, project plans, reports to management and others on project status and updates
  • Runs and maintains data for projects including running reports, enhancing and testing databases and information according to procedures and projects
  • Manages self (and/or) teams controllable expenses to designated budget
  • Supports department mailbox administration or systems, responding to report requests, and partner or business leader questions Participates in overall department administration; provides input to department policies and procedures and ensures their proper implementation; ensures that area's activities comply with any applicable legal and regulatory guidelines

Education & Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree or progressive work experience
  • Entry Level
  • Strong project coordination skills.
  • Ability to gather information and recommend solutions.
  • Process improvement skills, including the ability to evaluate procedures and recommend improvements.
  • Excellent time management skills, including the ability to bring a project to completion.
  • Strong PC skills

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Prior employment at a bank or legal corporate environment a plus (in any role)
  • Prior experience with project management concepts generally, including RACI, and legal project management specifically (e.g., the American Bar Association's Uniform Task-Based Management System) a plus

  • Considers the impact of decisions on the wellbeing of TD, its Customers and stakeholders
  • Provides the highest level of Customer service when dealing with internal partners, vendors or our Customers

  • Leads and contributes to the ongoing improvement of the partner / Customer experience
