General Description of Duties:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred, plus a minimum of two years' experience working with individuals who have developmental disabilities.
- Clean WI Caregiver, Criminal Background check, Physical and TB test.
- Possess a valid Wisconsin Driver's License and qualify to be insured under ADSSW vehicular policy.
- Must be professional, dependable, reliable and have to ability to consistently come to work.
- Demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills.
- Previous day program management preferred.
- MS Office Suite experience
Specific Tasks:
- Direct management of a day services center and supporting adults with developmental disabilities.
- Provide a full range of management services that include needs assessment, development of individual service plans and personal objectives, counseling, liaison activities, documentation of client progress, leading and directing direct care staff.
- Counsel participants on ongoing basis, supporting personal growth. Use proactive, positive intervention before escalation situations arise.
- Recruitment and retention of day program participants.
- Build and maintain relationships with guardians, caregivers and funding sources to encourage growth and ensure wellbeing of participants.
- Continually monitor and support individual health and wellbeing, providing medication as needed, communicating with caregivers, and advocating when appropriate.
- Supervise staff; including staff meetings, maintaining personnel files, mediating disputes, training, scheduling, payroll, staff reviews and disciplinary actions.
- Implementation of company policies in conjunction with Program Director.
- Monitor facility and vehicles; communicate any needed repairs and/or maintenance and conduct safety drills/checks as required by company policy and/or state regulations.
- Responsible for ordering supplies for projects and staff/office needs through the main office.
- Work collaboratively with the team to provide ongoing supervision and support, and coordinate learning and social events to enhance program.
