Summary/Objective:

The Manufacturing Manager for night shift is responsible for managing and leading the night shift manufacturing supervisors, team leaders, and team members to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and a positive work environment are achieved.

This manager must provide leadership and motivation to their team by setting the example and living out the company's core values.


Essential Functions

  • Manage department KPI's including visual controls and provide regular progress reports to manager.
  • Provide leadership through recruiting, interviewing, etc
  • Assist with accident investigations as needed.
  • Maintain proper inventory levels of raw materials, consumables, and other supplies.
  • Track absenteeism and timekeeping.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position manages all employees of the night shift manufacturing department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that department.


Work Environment


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.

The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work


This is a full-time position and is salaried exempt so your hours and workdays could vary depending on manufacturing performance versus the target.

This role is assigned to manage the night shift manufacturing operations. Working schedule is ultimate decided by production and your manager.


Travel
No travel is expected for this position.


Qualifications

  • Associate's degree with 35 years of experience working in a mass production environment. A combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Previous management experience in a manufacturing facility for a minimum of 3 years.
  • Ability to work the night shift Monday
  • Friday with extended hours/days as production needs and your manager decide.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 57 years of experience in a production environment.
  • Previous quality management experience for a minimum of 5 years.
