    Location: Piedmont Atlanta Hospital

    Schedule: Weekend Only, Saturday and Sunday, 212/s day shift

    JOBPURPOSE:

    Magnetic resonanceimaging (MRI) technologists utilize the resonant frequencyproperties of atoms within a magnetic field to image anatomicand/or physiologic conditions of the body to assist physicians inthe diagnosis of disease. MR technologists perform diagnosticmagnetic resonance examinations in accordance with all prescribedstandards under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist.MR Technologists provide patient care to all age groups to includeneonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Adheres to all safetyrequirements for magnetic safety. Demonstrates ability to performadvance MR imaging procedures and is competent/proficient withcross-sectional anatomy and physiology. Provides more complextechnical care necessary to meet identified patientneeds.
    Qualifications:
    MINIMUM EDUCATIONREQUIRED:
    • Graduate of an AMAapproved Radiologic Technology program.
    MINIMUM EXPERIENCEREQUIRED:
    • Two (2) years ofexperience as a Radiology Technologist and 2-3 years experience asan MRI Technologistrequired.
    MINIMUMLICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BYLAW:
    • Registered by theAmerican Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiography (R)(MR).
    • Advanced certification by the ARRT in MRI(MR).
    ADDITIONALQUALIFICATIONS:
    • BLScertified
