_Established in 1994, TGH Imaging, formerly known as Tower Radiology, is one of the largest outpatient radiology practices in West Central Florida, with 21 locations in four counties.

The new name marks Tampa General Hospital's complete purchase of Tower Radiology, expanding its statewide outpatient sites to 84, including primary care, urgent care, rehab, cancer care, surgery, and imaging.

After decades of working closely, the purchase officially combines industry expertise and the drive to deliver world-class care through innovation to enhance the quality and coordination of outpatient care while achieving the optimal patient experience.

TGH Imaging holds accreditations in all imaging modalities by the American College of Radiology (ACR), is an ACR Breast Imaging Center of Excellence, and is a designated ACR Lung Cancer Screening Center.

For three years, TGH Imaging has been the Tampa Bay Times, People's Choice Best of the Best Mammogram Center in Tampa.

TGH Imaging offers specialized services such as 3D mammography, weight-bearing open MRI, cardiac MRI, wide-bore MRI, low-dose CT lung screening, PET/CT, and 64-slice CT.

All exam interpretations are by board-certified radiologists that hold additional certifications in imaging-focused subspecialties and participate in the academic missions of research and teaching by serving as faculty and staff for USF and FSU Colleges of Medicine in the Departments of Radiology.

Summary:


Responsible for providing clinical leadership to administrators, managers and team members which include the operational / business performance of our locations, modalities, scheduling and programs such as Women's Health, Cardiac Imaging, etc.

Draws upon the knowledge of the changing health care system to in the redesign of programs to meet community health care or information needs on an ongoing basis.

Assist in the development of departmental/function plans, including business, operational, equipment, service plans and/or organizational priorities. Responsible for operational execution of TGH Imaging strategic initiatives that expand the footprint. Provides oversight to patient care activities within all of the locations.

Works collaboratively with radiologists, and other TGHI / TGH executives across the imaging enterprise to improve imaging collaborations of efforts.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
include the following

  • Facilitate the operations of all the TGH Imaging locations.
  • Ensures Imaging is compliant with all applicable federal, state and local jurisdictional requirements as well as complying with the accrediting and reviewing agencies.
  • Demonstrates current knowledge and level of expertise to effectively manage all aspects of services while maintaining quality customer service.
  • Demonstrates current knowledge and level of expertise to effectively manage aspects of compliance and safety in collaboration with center TGH departments.
  • Participates in quality and performance improvement processes.
  • Implements imaging workflow processes ensure consistent service delivery, quality patient care and overall patient, provider and team member engagement.
  • Preparation and submission of operational budget recommendations for facilitylevel function for approval; revises as appropriate. Monitors assigned budget(s) and adheres to budget and productivity guidelines.
  • Oversees key projects, processes and performance reports, data and analysis; forecast requirements, analyzes variances and initiates corrective actions.
  • Develops and implements ongoing quality and operational process improvements through the demonstration of quantifiable imaging and/or operational outcomes, safety management and operational efficiency. Creates updates and maintains operational metrics and analytics reporting process including the communication of such metrics and analytics.
  • Provides leadership support of process improvement initiatives within TGH Imaging.
  • Assigns work to and evaluates the work performance of team and Facility Administrators.
  • Works collaboratively with other departments, leaders and team members in accomplishing goals.
  • Monitor quality and identifies improvement opportunities through analysis of reports and indictors.
  • Interviews, hires, schedules, assigns work to and evaluates the work performance of team members supervised.

Qualifications/Skills/Education/Experience/Knowledge:

  • Completion of two (2) year approved program in Radiology Technology or Nuclear Medicine or equivalent experience.
  • ARRT, ARMDS, ARMRIT and/or Florida Licensure as required.
