    As Director of Operations, you will lead an independent team focused on design and development of Polaris's Global Manufacturing Footprint including back shop and final assembly operations.

    Through Plant Network Optimization (PNO), Vertical Integration, and Insource/Outsource strategy you'll drive Polaris's long-term growth and profitability targets aligned with all Global Business Units (GBUs).

    The PNO function incorporates inputs from the GBU's including size, location, labor availability, inbound and outbound logistics, production mix and future growth to best predict and optimize our global manufacturing footprint.

    Your team will identify opportunities and coordinate the transitions from our supply base to our existing operations.

    You will work strategically with our production sites and their corresponding GBU leaders, purchasing and engineering organizations to deliver seamless transitions while quantifying the Value Improvement cost savings.

    You will be responsible for actively evaluating insource/outsource opportunities to ensure they remain competitive as input adjust. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    Main interface with GBU's to ensure alignment on project timing / cost / savings. Gatekeeper for management of new project requests.
    Set strategic direction for the future of the plant network including international locations and prediction of future labor strategies.

    Refresh Plant Network Capacity model monthly with updated SIOP / S&OP to ensure back shop and final assembly capacity meets company requirements.

    Interaction with plant leadership to ensure seamless moves of parts and products in between plants and vendors as required.
    Team leadership and development including staff meetings, monthly operating reviews, and support of Executive reviews.
    Meet department budget goals.
    Requirements

    University degree in Business or Engineering required. Master's Degree or MBA preferred.
    15+ years' experience in Operations or Business management with specific focus on Plant Network Design.
    Strong knowledge and experience in supply chain, logistics and manufacturing operations
    Lean Management and Lean manufacturing knowledge and experience.
    5+ years of people leadership experience.
    2-3 years of in-depth industry-relevant experience preferred.
    Preferred experience in working in international countries.
    Working Conditions

    Position and team located in Medina, Minnesota office.
    Travel as required to support projects.
