Position Description:


Maintains thorough familiarity with applicable Human Resources (HR) systems, taking initiative to consistently look for ways to make HR systems more efficient and effective.

Researches issues and enhancement requests, making recommendations on configuration changes.

Assists with report generation to meet the organization's needs, evaluating trends within Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona (GCNA) and its affiliated entities, and curating the data.

Develops process mapping, standard operating procedures, and job aids as needed. Responsible for overall data integrity with reporting and data trends.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Observes the organization's HR system needs, helping to anticipate and develop possible solutions for HR and other business areas by proactively researching system features.
  • Configures, oversees, and maintains optimal function of the current Human Resources Information System (Workday), which will include development, maintenance, security, installation, and updates.
  • Partners with other business areas, as needed, to gain better understanding of business needs and the potential to solve them.
  • Actively solicits feedback on HR systems and processes from the various HR areas and business.
  • Builds relationships internally and collaborates effectively on crossfunctional teams.
  • Maintains a strong and positive relationship with IT, assisting each other as needed with integrations, uploads, security, testing, and biannual Workday updates.
  • Provides HR systems support to the organization in a positive and constructive manner.
  • Manages relationships with external vendors, as assigned.
  • Responds to report requests, compiling and designing reports for audits, surveys, projects, etc.
  • Develops and maintains industryleading standards for HR process mapping and standard operating procedures to document configuration and encourage knowledge sharing.
  • Helps proactively maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.
  • Assists in the implementation of all new HR systems and current system updates.
  • Recommends process/customer service improvements, innovate solutions, policy changes, and/or system enhancements to improve user adoption and ease of use.
  • Develops and delivers internal technical training on data management, systems, reports, processes, best practices, and features.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills):

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, in Business or related degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with Workday HCM
years' experience evaluating, implementing, and managing HR systems

  • 3+ years' experience in HR preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite with the ability to analyze complex data using strong Excel skills
  • Ability to handle a significant workload and effectively prioritize with a high degree of autonomy
  • Selfstarter with the ability to effectively manage multiple searches and projects simultaneously
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in groups and in partnership with others, with strong customer service orientation
  • Strong organizational and followup skills and the ability to function under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Experience with building collaboration across multiple teams and functions
  • Ability to adjust to multiple demands and shifting priorities while demonstrating flexibility and resilience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read and speak English fluently
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable for position
