Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

Ensure company compliance with all applicable SOX requirements
Supports the Controller and Operations Management team
Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against established targets
Supports the monthly close and financial statement preparation
Preparing and presenting auditors with information and financial reports during an audit
Analyzing and reporting any irregular cost within our _plant_ locations
Assist in establishing short and longrange department goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
Assist in maintaining contract insurance requirements
Assist with the annual budgeting processes
Enter and track job billings along with processing subcontract payments
Verify daily job costs and quantities; resolve monthly estimates
Regular and timely attendance

Qualifications.

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
Experience with Viewpoint Accounting system preferred
Two or more years of experience working as a cost accountant in a construction or manufacturing environment
Possess strong organizational, analytical and communication skills,
Has the ability to work under pressure handling multiple and shifting priorities
Must demonstrate strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organization
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Mobility to attend various meetings and events at offsite locations
Hours are extended throughout the year to include nights and weekends when necessary
Travel may be required
