Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve the goals and objectives of the employment center.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the center, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Lead and manage a team of employment counselors and support staff.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with employers, community organizations, and educational institutions to promote employment opportunities.
  • Provide guidance and support to job seekers, including resume building, interview preparation, and career counseling.
  • Assess the needs of job seekers and develop programs and services to meet those needs.
  • Stay updated on labor market trends, industry demands, and employment laws and regulations.
  • Manage the center's budget, ensuring financial resources are allocated appropriately.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the employment center and implement improvements as necessary.
  • Collaborate with other departments or agencies to provide comprehensive employment services to the community.
  • Identify potential funding opportunities from various sources, including government agencies, foundations, and corporations.
  • Research and evaluate grant opportunities to determine alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of grant awards, and reporting requirements.
  • Monitor grant-funded projects to ensure compliance with grant guidelines and regulations.
  • Prepare and submit timely progress reports and financial statements to grantors.
  • Collaborate with finance and accounting departments to manage grant budgets and financial reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., business administration, nonprofit management).
  • Proven experience in grant writing and management, preferably in a nonprofit or educational setting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and meet multiple deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using grant management software and databases.

Pay:
From $50,000.00 per year
