The Georgia Tech Athletic Associate (GTAA) sponsors varsity intercollegiate athletics competition in 17 NCAA Division I sports for the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Job Summary
Within an assigned sport program, this position will work closely with the head coach, Director of Player Development, sport operations staff, academic services, sports medicine team, compliance team, and campus partners to ensure student-athletes have the resources and guidance needed to thrive on and off the field or court.
Institute and Athletics Department.
This position will interact on a consistent basis with:
Coaches, student- athletes, GT Athletics staff, campus partners and external partners.

Responsibilities
Job Duty 1 -
Support the Director of Player Development in providing current and former student-athletes in assigned sport program non-academic and personal development programs.
This includes researching, developing and implementing life skills sessions, student conduct support, mentorship opportunities, orientation services and other programs to support other student services related needs.
Job Duty 2 -
Coordinate transition assistance logistics, as directed by the Director of Player Development with GT Athletics, campus and other external partners as appropriate for freshman, transfer, graduate and former student-athletes of assigned sport program.
Assist with the implementation of community outreach efforts and programs within assigned sport program. This includes coordinating and tracking student-athlete volunteer work, speaking engagements, and required service events.
Job Duty 4 -
In coordination with established GT Athletics and campus services, implement career development programs for student-athletes within the sport program, to include but not limited to focusing on developing resumes, portfolios, networking opportunities and post sport career planning.
Provide support for the holistic growth of student-athletes within the sport program.
This includes working with the Director of Player Development to provide student-athletes with guidance and assistance to promote balance with sport, academics and life integration.
Job Duty 6 -
Track ongoing player development programs and engagement efforts within the sport program, as well as participation levels of student-athletes within the sport program.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Educational Requirements
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Experience
One to two years of job-related experience.
