Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze medical documentation to assign appropriate codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services using ICD9, ICD10, and other coding systems
• Submit claims to insurance companies electronically or by paper
• Follow up on unpaid claims and denials, and appeal when necessary
• Process payments from insurance companies and patients
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
• Communicate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients regarding billing inquiries or disputes
• Stay uptodate on changes in coding regulations and requirements
• Collaborate with the medical office team to improve billing processes and efficiency

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of medical coding systems such as ICD9, ICD10, DRG, and CPT
• Proficient in medical billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Familiarity with medical collection procedures and insurance claim processing
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing processes
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
• Effective communication skills to interact with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in medical billing or related field is preferred
• Minimum of 1 years of experience as a Medical Biller in a healthcare setting
• Proficient computer skills, including MS Office Suite
