Prenatal/newborn Record Specialist - Providence, United States - Women & Infants Hospital

Job Summary:
The Prenatal/Newborn Record Specialist is responsible to receive, organize, file and maintain prenatal records for all obstetrical patients expected to enter the Hospital, as well as complete Hospital Birth Records (HBRs) for newborns.
Requirements;
Associates degree or at least two years equivalent experience in a medical setting.
Knowledge of third party payers preferred.
Excellent typing skills and ability to operate standard office equipment necessary.
Must have excellent interpersonal and communications skills, and be fluent in the English language.
Schedule flexibility required to occasionally work additional, unscheduled hours.
Must be able to work independently without supervision.
