- Conduct class, lab, and clinical instruction for the Nursing Assistant (NA-1) program.
- Present materials in an organized and concise manner, facilitate discussions, answer questions, and proctor tests.
- Demonstrate skills in the lab setting and assist students in learning essential caregiving techniques.
- Offer professional insight and guidance to students to help them develop into quality-trained caregivers.
- Take attendance, enforce school policies, and document student infractions as necessary.
- Collaborate with the business office on program paperwork, student enrollment, and communication.
- Ensure compliance with regulations set forth by the Oregon State Board of Nursing and the Oregon Health Authority.
- Active RN license in Oregon (Required).
- Minimum 1 year of RN nursing experience, preferably in LTC skilled nursing facility settings.
- Prior experience teaching adult classes is preferred.
- Ability to effectively navigate PC systems and software.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Must be able to sit or stand in a classroom setting for extended periods.
