Responsibilities:

The inventory control and continuous Improvement support individual oversees updating Fabrication processes and controlling the inventory for all Optics FAB.

This role includes updating/changing and assessing issues in the development of optics manufacturing.

The objective of the role is to provide support for operations development of processes, inventory management, and developmental work that needs to be completed or asses, including process gaps, capacity analysis, root cause corrective actions, and quality issues.

In addition, the role includes process improvement ideas to sustain good manufacturing practices and inventory management for all inventories related to Optics Fabrication.


Position Objectives:


  • Improve processes by assessing current issues through PDCA analysis.
  • Project management responsibilities include managing internal nontechnical business projects from initiation through completion.
  • May be responsible for reporting, tool development and design of excel files to manage information needs and communications.
  • Assists Management with the execution of tactical business plans and technical project objectives to meet the short and longterm goals.
  • Execute processes by mapping issues and developing VSM.
  • Identify areas of improvement by implementing lean manufacturing concepts
  • Support and lead weekly, monthly, and yearly cycle count adjustments.
  • Support material coordinator with issues and process implementations.
  • Create models to access bottleneck issues and capacity constraints in manufacturing processes.
  • Communicate changes and process improvement initiatives clearly to stakeholders and crossfunctional teams.
  • Works with Engineering and support teams to solve problems and implement process improvements.
  • Communicates effectively with all personnel in the department (both verbal and written communication).
  • Keeps management informed of progress, key issues and changes which may impact the business.
  • Provide suggestions to operations and engineering on improving processes.
  • Develop plans and objectives for inventory control issues.
  • Support and lead developmental strategies for continuous improvements.
  • Follow up on daytoday operations to ensure gaps are addressed within processes.
  • Track Yield issues and provide data analysis information to Operations and Engineering
  • Develop Pareto charts to identify issues in production and communicate to operations.
  • Encourages, supports and shares business objectives, vision and plan with employees.
  • Creates an atmosphere that encourages shared process ownership and results with employees.
  • Drives for continual improvement of processes and quality. Lead Gemba walks to identify areas of improvement. (LEAN)
  • Leads by example.

Qualifications:

  • 35 years of Inventory management control
  • 35 years of process optimization and efficiency tools (PDCA, DMAIC, Keizen)
  • Optics experience is preferred, but manufacturing experience is a must
  • 35 years of Oracle expertise
  • Can read and follow written and verbal work instructions and communicate effectively in a team environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills a must.

Pay Range:
USD $77, USD $128,590.00 Year

Note:
For other locations, pay ranges will vary by region
