Reports to:
VP of Nursing


OVERVIEW:


The Nursing Administrative Assistant facilitates the efficient operation of the facility by performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks in the Nursing Department.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Answers and transfers phone calls, screening when necessary
  • Welcomes and directs visitors and clients
  • Maintains filing systems as assigned
  • Responds to and resolves administrative inquiries and questions
  • Coordinates and schedules travel, meetings, and appointments for managers or supervisors
  • Prepares agendas and schedules for meetings
  • Records and distributes minutes or other records for meetings
  • Maintains office supplies and coordinates maintenance of office equipment
  • Receives incoming communication on behalf of staff, reviews contents, determines importance, and distributes contents to appropriate staff

QUALIFICATIONS:


EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:


  • Experience in an administrative role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of office administration, clerical procedures, and recordkeeping systems
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to learn new software

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities

WORK ENVIRONMENT:


  • This job operates in a health care setting. This role requires regular walking to various locations around the care center.
  • Incumbent may be exposed to virus, disease and infection from patients and specimens in working environment.
  • Incumbent may be required to work extended periods of time at a video display terminal.
  • Incumbent may experience traumatic situations, including psychiatric, and deceased patients.
  • Works beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary
  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:


  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear
  • The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds

TRAVEL:


  • No travel requirements.

Pay:
$ $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
