As an Account Manager, you will also be expected to take on additional responsibilities and contribute to the overall success of the team.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop and maintain longterm, mutually beneficial relationships with key customers
  • Treat the accounts you manage as if you are running your own business
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution
  • Identify opportunities for account growth and provide tailored product or service recommendations
  • Analyze account data to track revenue and margin, actively seeking growth opportunities
  • Conduct quarterly and annual business reviews for key customers
  • Collaborate with internal team members and customers to address projectspecific needs
  • Develop quotes for large project requests and negotiate terms as needed
  • Proactively manage customer projects to ensure needs are understood and met
  • Set and achieve quarterly and annual sales forecasts, objectives, and goals
  • Mentor and support junior account managers, sharing best practices and providing guidance
  • Identify areas for process improvement and contribute to the development of new strategies and initiatives
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and market changes, using insights to inform account strategies
  • Represent the company at industry events and conferences, as needed

Qualifications and Skills:


  • Cover letter required
  • Preferred 2+ years of experience in a sales or account management role, experience within the foodservice industry knowledge is a plus
  • Proven track record of success in sales or account growth
  • Demonstrated experience meeting sales forecasts, objectives, and goals
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM tools
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortability with selling and negotiating
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fastpaced environment
  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs and address difficult situations with diplomacy and emotional intelligence
  • Service leadership approach with a desire to exceed expectations
  • Experience in project management and process improvement
  • Familiarity with industry trends, market changes, and competitor analysis
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings and industry events (up to 10%)
