Summary:
The Sales Associate engages with customers in the showroom and helps them with their product selection and design
Compensation:
This hourly, non-exempt position pays from $22 to $26 per hour, with overtime compensated at 1.5 times the base rate.
New hires usually earn between $50,000 and $60,000 annually, or more, depending on experience, overtime hours, and bonuses.To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to complete the following essential duties and responsibilities:
- Qualify all walk-in customers to understand full scope of project and present MSI materials for entire project needs.
- Obtain new contractors/clients to MSI
- Maintain relationships with clients by following up and proving exceptional customer service
- Proactively follow up with trade customers to seek opportunities and followup with outstanding quotes to ensure sales are converted through exceptional customer service.
- Learn and understand all MSI products within the showroom.
- Ensure showroom and displays are maintained to the highest standards, products are updated, and all marketing materials are refilled for easy customer access.
- Perform additional duties as required and or requested.
- Industry retail sales experience is required.
- Ability to determine solutions for customers.
- Provide high level of customer service.
- Ability to quickly learn and understand MSI products
- Excellent oral and written English language communication skills.
- Good organizational skills.
- Demonstrated experience with the use of PCs, along with the ability to navigate in a multiwindow based environment.
- Availability to work on Saturday.
- High School Diploma required
- 2 years of related industry experience preferred
- Knowledge in tile/stone is a plus
- Ability to work well alone or within a team
- Demonstrated aptitude for problem solving
- Resilience to deal with customers who turn you down
