Perform daily mechanical part inspections:
perform in-process, first article AS9102 and final inspection of precision machined parts.
- Perform hands on physical dimensional checking and review paperwork and certifications from suppliers and vendors.
- Inspect mechanical material and articles for conformance to purchase order requirements, engineering drawings, and specifications using visual, mechanical and machine test methods.
- Work closely and communicate effectively with the General Manager to achieve product quality and production goals.
- Update production scheduling using Visual Planning
- Inspect parts using inspection hand tools, such as mics, indicators, height gages, thread gages, optical comparator, surface plate inspection techniques, etc.
- Operate CMM to inspect parts. OPEN-DMIS experience is preferred. Program OPEN-DMIS software for repeat inspection of parts.
- Read and interpret GD&T ANSI Y14.5 engineering drawings
- Complete AS9102 First Article dimensional inspection reports.
- Inspect raw metals for size, condition, conformance to specifications.
- Create and maintain inspection records utilizing many different electronic information systems.
- Obtain and maintain all process certification required for assigned tasks.
- May design and/or manage Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) controls of the inspection tools and specific products.
- May design / manage statistical process control (SPC) data collection, machine capabilities and data analysis.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
- Inspection of products and all tooling as required
- Train personnel for continuous improvement
- Work with manager to meet schedules to support production
- Calibrate measuring tools
- Operate and program CMM/Comparator equipment.
- Complete FAI and FAIR reports
- Work in compliance with AS9100
- Maintain Shelflife program
- Tool Calibration Program
- Maintain FAA-PMA compliance
- Work towards AS9100 certification
- Ability to read and understand complex engineering drawings, specifications, procedures and manuals
Skills Requirements:
- 5 years prior QA hands on mechanical inspection experience
- Experience in CMM inspection techniques, OPEN-DMIS and programming.
- Experience using inspection hand tools, such as mics, indicators, height gages, thread gages, etc.
- Ability to read and interpret GD&T ANSI Y14.5 engineering drawings
- Holding or has held FAA DMIR authorization would be preferred
- US Citizenship required
- Must be fluent in English and able to communicate effectively as above.
This position will be responsible for developing and implementing quality assurance programs, ensuring that all products are tested to company standards, and assisting in the development of new programs.
Essential Duties:
- Develop and implement quality assurance programs.

- Participate in the development of new product programs.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure that product testing is completed, CMM results are generated, and product documentation is completed.
- Participate in internal meetings to discuss issues or problems relating to the QAM's role as a Quality Assurance Manager.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Engineering, Business Administration, etc.).
- 3+ years of Quality Assurance Management experience.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 9001certified systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
