GENERAL SUMMARY:
This position will support the daily maintenance needs of the staff and building.
This position will also be responsible for the installation, repair, and upkeep of all mechanical and non-mechanical functions at the National Headquarters Washington, D.C.
facilities.Duties also include but are not limited to being on call during business hours in the event of an emergency.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
A
Maintenance duties to include:
a
Electrical:
install and repair switches, receptacles, lighting, wiring, conduit, breakers, etc.
b
Plumbing:
install and repair plumbing fixtures, water lines, drain lines, pumps, toilets, unclogging drains, etc.
c
Carpentry:
Construct offices, furniture, shipping crates, drywall installation and repair, refinish wood, repair furniture, etc.
e. Installation, assembly, and moving of furniture, windowing dressings, other office furnishings.
f
Painting:
walls, stairways, furniture, equipment, etc.
g
Operate equipment:
power tools, hand tools, vacuums, blowers, pressure washer, paint gun, carpet extractor, etc.
h
Preventative maintenance:
clean equipment, grease motors and pumps, change filters, etc.
i. Maintains a clean front entrance, assuring that it is free from obstructions and debris, including snow removal.
j. Advise and confer with supervision about projects, problems, or proper procedures.
k. Other duties as assigned.
B.
Operational Support duties to include:
a. Escorting vendors/service providers through the building.
b. Setup and breakdown of meeting room spaces.
c. Occasional heavy package deliveries.
C
Additional Duties:
a. Occasional custodial duties.
b. Executive Suite cleaning to include restroom.
c. Re-stocking dispensers and water cooler bottles.
d. Maintain building safety and security.
Education/Technical Knowledge:
Requires a thorough knowledge of a given vocation or trade procedures, or a working knowledge of broad shop or trade procedures, or training in commonly used commercial or business machines, methods and practices.
Pay:
$41, $51,542.00 per year
